Finding work outside of academia is not something we hear much about, so this was a fantastic opportunity to learn about the alternative options that we have. Dr Alena Skalon gave an overview of these options, how our skills from our PhD translate into other forms of employment, and about the techniques and strategies we can use when applying for these jobs.
